Signature House is pleased to present the Genchi Collection to our clientele. Fred Genchi, now associated with the historic landmark James Madison home in Virginia, started his collection during his years as a successful real estate broker and entrepreneur in the Los Angeles area. His interest in collecting historical documents and memorabilia was sparked in 1993 with his first purchase of a Revolutionary War document from a shop in Disneyland. Subsequently, he has amassed a collection of over 2,500 items spanning the eras of Colonial America through today's important events and personalities.
Mr. Genchi entrusted many of his prized acquisitions to the foremost museum framer in southern California, Canyon Framing in Anaheim. The firm has been charged with the framing and preservation of acquisitions for the major museums in the greater southern California area including the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi, California and the Richard Nixon Library in Yorba Linda. Only the highest quality materials and craftsmanship were used in the framing of these items. These important collectibles graced the home of Mr. Genchi and his wife for 16 years. Now, he has chosen Signature House to present his treasures to a discriminating audience who will appreciate them and their intrinsic value both as important historical items and as investments for future generations of collectors.
Each of Mr. Genchi's lots is marked 'Ex Genchi Collection' at its end.
